More than three decades of growth, investment, technology and industrial development

1991

Company Founded

IGM-Trade was established as a steel trading company.

1994

First Production Equipment

The company installed the first equipment for cutting steel sheets from coils.

1998

First Pipe Mill

Commissioning of the first pipe mill and first slitting line, financed by a World Bank credit line.

2001

Production Expansion

The second pipe mill for welded pipes and profiles up to 101.6 mm was installed.

2004

Third Pipe Mill

Commissioning of the third pipe mill for welded pipes and profiles up to 168.3 mm. Installation of the SLITTER 2-KOREA line and achievement of a new production record.

2006

New Production Technology

Installation of the new LCP-133 pipe mill and the R-S5 precision welded pipe mill.

2007

Major Production Expansion

Installation of RS-1, KAGERER and AGUSTAZA hydro-static testing equipment, the BACINI slitting line and expansion of the in-house tool shop.

2008

Additional Pipe Mills

Installation of RS-252, RS-4 and RS-2 pipe mills.

2009

Large Hollow Sections

Production of large hollow sections began with the installation of the ERW 250 × 250 × 10 mm pipe mill.

The COMBO combined slitting and cut-to-length line and BRONX 15 × 2000 mm slitting line were also commissioned.

2010

Steel Structures & Construction

A factory for steel structures was established and IGM started in-house production.

An in-house construction company was also established.

2011

Quality Control Technology

Two pipe mills, LCP-133 and LCP-168, were equipped with eddy-current testing devices.

2012

Further Capacity Expansion

Commissioning of a new SLITTER line and a new cut-to-length line.

Installation and commissioning of the LCP 324 pipe mill for production up to 12" OD and 10 mm thickness.

Construction and handover of the "Draxlmaier Manufacturing Macedonia" cable factory.

2013

New Steel Construction Facility

A new facility for steel construction was established, covering 45,000 m² with an annual capacity of 30,000 tonnes.

2014

New Tool Shop

A new tool shop for in-house production of pipe mill tools and spare parts was established, covering approximately 40,000 m².

2015

International Expansion

Installation of two new pipe mills: a 6-inch mill with 168 mm OD and up to 8.0 mm thickness, and a 3½-inch mill with 101 mm OD and up to 5.0 mm thickness.

IGM-Trade acquired the former ALPOS factory for welded steel pipes in Šentjur, Slovenia.

2016

Continued Modernization

Installation of the 1550 × 6 mm slitting line and the new LCP 101.6 pipe mill.

From 1991 to today: IGM-Trade has continuously expanded its production capabilities, invested in modern technology and developed its presence in international markets. The company's history reflects a long-term commitment to industrial development, quality and sustainable growth.
